  1. How long do you have to wait before you get your new one?

The bar should have been here a month and a half ago.

The stupid panel beat doesn't think a 91 to 95 bar will fit because mine is an 87 and ARB do not list a bar for an 87. I have pointed out the only differences between the modles (two more doors and a V6) on several occasions, but until a couple of weeks ago he was still arguing the point. I will see him again tomorrow and push a little harder. I want my brand spanking new ARB winch bar and I want it now! lol.

  2. Welcome to the club!! :takebow:

Congrats on the new house... not much new here... unless you count leaving my hubby, living with the P's and now hooked up with a board member here. *snort* LOL... drama...:rolleyes:

Yes, I am in the club now. lol.

What got me is that I had eye contact with the guy just before he pulled out? He thought he had time and I was right on top of him? It is his car you can see behind mine. Unfortunately he was hurt and I didn't feel rifgt taking a pic of his car. It could have been worse too. I was able to steer left and hit the quarter panel right behind the drivers door.

I am sorry to hear about the split from your man. I hope it is a civil parting of ways.

I will not be so crass as to ask how this happend or who the board member is. I do hope that you are happy though.

  3. Ok, the business did not come through. I have now put the business into the too hard basket.

Bought a new house instead. Our bank manager mucked us around in a big way on the final settlement day. I ended up telling the bank manager to "F" off. In doing so we nearly lost the house. lol. I got an extension and secured finance with another bank.

Handover is on the 29th of this month. I am doing a few things to the house before we move in so we will move in proper on the 9th of next month. Photos later.

My Pathy wrote off a Honda civic. The idiot pull out right in front of me and I caught the corner of his car just behind the drives door. Have pics of smashed Pathy and will post up later.

The pathy has been repaired but I am still waiting for a new ARB winch bar.

The gear box too, is on its last legs. I will have to get another one fairly quickly. I might try a V6 box for now. I still have not gotten a divorced transfer case yet. I have just been too busy.

    So, how is everone?

I will do some reading and catch up on what I have been missing shortly.

  4. ok, i've noticed this not long ago and it has been worrying me somewhat so i thought i'd ask.

the tires on my truck lean in two different directions. seems there is a bit of a "pigeon toe." they both kind of "plow" or are closer to each other in the front then they are in the back.

the other lean is that the tops of each front tire are sticking out more past the truck then the bottoms. not sure if either condition is normal. i noticed this since i took off the fender flares.

any idea if this is normal or what may be the cause?

    please share your thoughts

    thanks all.

How far are your TB cranked mz? That may be effecting your camber. ie. Wheels sticking out more at the top. This will wear your tyres on the outsides.

The wheels pointing in toward each other is toe. Your wheels are toeing in. You will find that most front wheels toe in so you car will drive straight woithout wandering. BUT this should not really be noticable. You might have too much toe. If so your tyres will wear on the outsides.

  5. Took it offroading today, again had some issues with stalling but only on hills......which is where the vehicle is living overnight, up a drive way on a slope.

    Cheers

    KiwiMR2

Shouldn't be an issue. It is injected, there is no float or needle and seat?

  6. Alright ill do it when I get some time... maybe after the project is said and done

Do it as you go Jay. That way you will not leave anything out. Right down to removing and installing your tail lights. All this information is very important. Even more so if you have step by step pictures too.

  7. My dear boy, you are in a perfect position to do many how to's.

You are about to change your fuel line. You are going to do a body lift as well. You are also going to be redoing all of the aircon and heater unit under you dash too aren't you?

The how to's from you should be endless. FFs, you have got you body off! That's the big daddy of how to's... Think about the position you are in and then take action....

    The others will follow. :aok:

And plenty of pics too.

  8. well who would be interested in making some How to's? id need some site moderators to help out...

  9. Hey do you guys think this lift kit is any good??

    LIFT KIT

    thanks

    Jay

P.S. I emailed him said it would work for a 91 aswell

I just took a very quick glance at the Pic...............

The picture would want to be a generic one, cause that will not do a Pathfinder. Not enough lifting blocks. The steel ones are for a HB/Navara etc.

I couldn't see a filler extention pipe either.

  10. Well I obviously learned my lesson. Kind of hard to know if he did a good job... if the floor isnt out... or you dont crawl under and check. Personally when I got my truck I knew nothing about cars but by reading these forums, manuals, books, and some mechanic friends helping me out I was able to realize alot of phony work that has been done on this truck in the past. I fixed almost all cept brake line and fuel line. Fuel line I got ordered now but Im wondering if I should get that new type of brake line, flexes... its sort of like meshed metal. Let me know if anyone out there has tried it. Im replacing the fuel line myself, I dropped my gas tank already and grinded/sanded it down, coated it with 2 layers of zrc and 2 layers of gravel guard and 2 layers of black paint. I doubt she will rust now... But for the gas lines I purchased the new clips but removing the lines isnt very easy... does anyknow have some tips to lend on how to do it?

    Thanks

    Jay

Life is one huge classroom Jay. You should never stop learning. EVER. I am an old fart and still learn something new most days.

Try to be aliitle more hands on. The jobs you said you had those arseholes do are not hard. If you stuff it up... fine, get someone else to do it. I would have questioned them having to be done in the first place too. Any work on those areas is for the most part is unheard of.

I still remember doing my first diff. I was 15yrs old. It was an amazing feeling when I changed it and it worked.

What clips are you talking about? The ones in the engine bay??

  11. Put a lid on it V6...

    B

If you don't tell him, he will never know. If he doesn't know, then he can't learn. If he can't learn he will keep getting ripped off. You and I both don't want that to keep happening. So speak up and say it like it is so we can help Jay help himself, otherwise....... sssh

  12. The only reason I suggested that the chassis might be different is because I have seen (on here) that the rear most lift blocks are different. This to me suggests that something is at least different.
