  1. your surprised from someone who bumped their own thread about a video game because nobody posted? As most things... check the source and have a memory flashback and the levels of surprise tend to drop
  2. I don't (think) I have the brace in mine (over site at the time), I haven't had an issue but do plan on getting one eventually or the sake of I want something I don't have...
  3. Yes, but he caught and handled under his own accord... No zombies today! Nominations closed, I'll set up voting when on my desktop.
  4. My blazer has the spare on the roof (as did the 4runner it replaced), both in a 31" flavor on a factory aluminum wheel on the blazer. I'm sure it ain't helping MPG but I'd put money it's not 4mpg, even with other crap on the roof as well. It gets driven daily and has had no ill effects on handling (for the way my wife drives at least) though it gets some funny looks climbing up the side of the truck web doing tire pressure checks make sure it's good and secure when you mount it!
  5. 2nd verse, same as the first!

  6. Owners manual is great for some simple info, if its there. A lot of us here got our trucks second hand and sometimes original owners like to keep/lose things
  7. Top Gear period is for entertainment, comparing UK to US is like apples and tomatoes though. Different budgets, different demographics, UK is in what, season 9-10? US is only on 3. The first couple seasons of UK wernt anything to brag about either until the presenters found their fitting grooves. Just being observant you can catch screw ups and bad editing on US sure, but you can still find it on UK regularry as well. All in all you have to realize your just watching scripted tv. "Reality tv" is as scripted as sitcoms and cartoons...
  8. No theme month and a late start (my fault) the rules of course 1. You can nominate only Pathfinder/Terrano/QX4 trucks belonging to Registered NPORA Forum Members. New members will have to wait 3 months and have a post count of 100 before they can be nominated. Members who are banned, currently on suspension or for 1 month after their return from suspension will also be disallowed. (If you are banned you won't be able to be nominated for 2 months). a) please let us know who's truck it is that you're nominating (even if it is yours) 2. NO FAKE OR JOKE ENTRIES. 3. First 20 nominees are up for consideration and the nomination thread will be closed after the 20th submission or the 20th of the month, which ever comes 1st. Voting will be from 21st-28th. 4. One pic per nomination post, 640x480 or smaller. Larger pics will need to be re-sized. Try to make it a good one or nobody will vote for your nominee! A recent pic is preferred but if the Pathy is still in the same shape as your last pic, go ahead and use that. An offroad setting or action pic is also preferred, but not necessary. 5. Only one truck nomination per member per month. 5. a) If multiple people want to nominate the same truck, it is up to the nominee to decide on which pic to run with. In the absence of the nominee, the decision will be made by NPORA Moderating Team 6. Winner gets 3 pics of their choice of their Pathfinder pinned in the TOTM forum (PM me the links please) and is ineligible for the remainder of the calendar year. 6. a) A Member can only win once a year - multiple pathfinders do no mean multiple wins. 7. No post whoring. 8. Not reading these rules may result in a zombie attack. (if your choice is in the Feb 2013 voting, feel free to nominate again, I will remove from nominations if it wins the vote)
  9. 1. 01silvapathy 2. Darek 3. shoesandsocks 4. adamzan 5. nismopathy93 6. muddfildvaynes Sorry, I slipped. Work overtook my mind. Voting will be until 3/15
  10. Model paint, bedliner, and a lack of proper prep! Serious though, scroll part outs (here and craigslist) and check your local yards for used stuff in useable replacement pieces
  11. My opinion, time/labor/money wise it would probably be better getting something already designed for an X. Don't get me wrong, I'd personally be the one rigging something I could get on the cheap on instead of shelling out the required coin so I don't condemn the idea of it, just remember you need internal bracing as well! As for pro/con from someone who went from internal to external, my list: More room in the cargo area + Blocked window/blind spot area reduced + Less of my stickers easily viewable - The added area needed to open the carrier to open the hatch / I can see it as a burden to some but I rairly have to parallel park-if I do with plans of needing to open the rear I leave room and I just pull into parking spots at stores instead I backing in More external mounting areas for stuff + More things to grease + to me, not so much to most Really it's person to person but I consider it a positive I did switch (though I do think sometimes He looked cute and clean without it) You could always fashion a roof mount setup as an option as well, but climbing up there could suck as well... (Get AAA and make them do it! )
  12. Its a caR50, it ain't! Kidding of course, driver experience is going to be your primary factor. It you have the seat time and experience to know what your doing, you can go circles around some big dollar super built truck (of any make) with an inexperienced driver. There's plenty of stock height trucks around here that get wheeled pretty rigorously. Brand loyal people can look down all they want, let your truck and skills talk back!
  13. I would assume a plate relocation would be in order to keep the red and blues out of your mirror over it.
  14. They all load fine on my phone (except the single one I posted and B's directly after it)
  15. Left my coffee cup in him... again. At least I don't think my keys are dangling from the ignition with him locked up tonight. Should probably check on that.
  16. Some states have laws on mud flaps for "trucks", that could be a con (though PA is a sneaky one for SUV owners as they are titled "SW" [station wagon] and "legally" by the states words not trucks ) and the look is gonna be personal preference. I havent pulled any r50 flaps so I don't know what that will take, but would assume it shouldn't be too challenging and easily reversible if you don't like it. Personally I prefer the look of lacking the flaps
  17. full circle... saved from a doomed life of being parked on curbs!
  18. caR50s DID have a recall on the strut towers and some of them were repaired (and some bought back to get them off the road) so that may not have been a complete line of BS Now update that info for the correct year/model! Your gonna ask about something and were gonna think you have an "unknown 2001" And feel free to snap a pic and show it off to us! Since it's model is all numbers the "Infiniti" one would just be a "QX", you know... lacking any numbers period!
  19. ...as I click post and "I Want Your Sex-George Michael" starts
  20. Gotta love Pandora, specially when it's actually a good variety with some flip sides mixed in and not all mainstream 'every one knows them' songs
