What seems 'absurd' today may have been perfectly acceptable back then. Sucks that they rotted in jail but, looking at a bigger picture (and no, I don't have the numbers), how many other lives etc may ahve been saved by the coverup? Bad part is, the families will probably never see any of the money and it will dwindle away to the blood-sucking lawyers over many years of appeals etc. oh... and to answer the question....
