Grego
Well, I bought a 95 pathfinder YESTERDAY. Today im driving and push in the clutch to change gears and as I press down I hear/feel something snap and petal go to the floor. I managed to get home in 2nd gear. There is no grinding noise or anything. What would snap like that? If the clutch plate broke would it still drive? Also wouldn't it make noise int he transmission? KovemaN
In order of ease of repair: Clutch master pin (connected to pedal under dash) Clutch slave cylinder (passenger side of transmission) Clutch master cylinder (driver side firewall) Release bearing (you're screwed) If it wasn't squealing like a pig, then it's probably not the release bearing. Can you shift the trans while the engine is off?
