Background: I purchased the Pathfinder in May of 2002, as a means of transportation for myself while in college in Rochester, NY. I needed 4WD for the winters, as well as an SUV to be able to haul my stuff back and forth from school to home. I originally had no intent of taking it off-road or modifying it beyond an upgraded stereo and some better tires. Since I purchased it, I have changed my perspective and now take it off-road as often as I can, and have performed many modifications to it for better off-road performance, increased reliability, increased performance, and better load carrying ability.
